WHY IT MATTERS

A messy, non-consented list is a liability, not an asset.

A contact list full of inconsistent number formats, unclear consent, and people who never really opted in isn’t valuable: it’s a compliance risk and a deliverability problem waiting to happen. Send to it and you get spam complaints, blocked messages, and legal exposure.

SimplyRCS keeps your audience clean and compliant by design. Phone numbers are normalized to a standard format, consent is tracked separately for each channel, subscription lists capture explicit opt-ins, and opt-outs are honored the instant they happen. The result is a list you can actually trust.

WHAT YOU GET

Audiences, organized and compliant.

Contacts

Create, import, and organize contacts with their profile, history, and tags. Phone numbers are automatically normalized to E.164 format, so “(512) 555-0142” and “+15125550142” become one clean, deduplicated record.

Subscription lists

Named lists customers opt into, each with its own keyword, confirmation message, and unsubscribe instructions. The clean foundation for compliant broadcasts, built from people who explicitly asked to join.

Per-channel consent

Consent is tracked separately for each channel, so a contact can be opted in for SMS but not RCS. The platform only sends where each contact has agreed, automatically.

Segments & tags

Organize contacts by attributes and behavior, build dynamic segments, and tag for routing and reporting, so you can send the right message to the right people.

Automatic opt-out

STOP, HELP, and unsubscribe keywords are honored instantly and unconditionally. Opt-outs update consent immediately, and every consent event is logged.

CLEAN BY DEFAULT

One number, one format, no duplicates.

Phone numbers arrive in every format imaginable, with dashes, dots, parentheses, country codes or not. SimplyRCS normalizes every number to the international E.164 standard automatically on import and capture, so your data is consistent, deduplicated, and ready to message. No manual cleanup, no duplicate sends to the same person in two formats, no delivery failures from malformed numbers.

  • Automatic normalization: every number standardized to E.164 on the way in
  • Deduplication: the same number in different formats becomes one record
  • Delivery-ready: clean numbers mean fewer failed sends
  • No manual cleanup: the platform handles formatting for you

CONSENT, TRACKED PROPERLY

Consent isn’t one switch. It’s per channel.

Real consent is specific. A customer who opted in to SMS order updates didn’t necessarily opt in to RCS marketing, and treating those the same is how programs get into trouble. SimplyRCS tracks consent separately for each channel and each contact, suppresses sends to anyone not opted in on the channel you’re using, and logs every consent event for a complete audit trail. Subscription lists capture explicit, keyword-based opt-ins, and opt-outs are honored the moment they arrive.

  • Per-channel consent: opted in for SMS doesn’t mean opted in for RCS
  • Automatic suppression: the platform won’t send where consent isn’t present
  • Keyword opt-in: subscription lists capture explicit consent
  • Audit trail: every consent event logged and reviewable

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Contacts & lists questions.

What is a subscription list?

A subscription list is a named group of contacts who have explicitly opted in to receive messages about a topic, each with its own keyword, confirmation message, and unsubscribe instructions. In SimplyRCS, subscription lists are the compliant foundation for broadcasts, since everyone on them asked to join.

How does SimplyRCS handle phone number formats?

SimplyRCS automatically normalizes every phone number to the international E.164 standard on import and capture. That means numbers in any format, with dashes, dots, parentheses, or country codes, become one consistent, deduplicated record, so you don’t send duplicates or hit delivery failures from malformed numbers.

What is per-channel consent?

Per-channel consent means a contact’s permission to be messaged is tracked separately for each channel: SMS, RCS, MMS. A contact can be opted in for one and not another, and SimplyRCS only sends where consent is present, suppressing sends to anyone not opted in on the channel you’re using.

How are opt-outs handled?

STOP, HELP, and unsubscribe keywords are honored instantly and unconditionally. When a contact opts out, their consent updates immediately on that channel, the platform stops sending to them there, and the event is logged in the audit trail, no manual management required.

Can I import and segment my contacts?

Yes. You can create and import contacts, organize them with tags and attributes, and build dynamic segments by behavior and value. Numbers are normalized automatically on import, and consent is tracked per contact and channel.

Does this work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. Contacts can receive branded RCS on iPhones (iOS 18.1+) and Androids (Google Messages) where they’ve consented, and SimplyRCS falls back to SMS automatically on any device that can’t receive RCS.
