Full disclosure: this guide is published by SimplyRCS, so we are on the list, last, because we are a messaging platform rather than a marketing suite. Every claim about another vendor's RCS support was checked against that vendor's own website, help centre or press release in September 2026, and every price is the one the vendor publishes or we say that it is quoted. Where a platform is the better choice for you, we say so.
This is a list of SMS marketing software, the tools a marketer logs into to build a list, send campaigns and run automations. It is not a list of RCS providers or messaging APIs; the best RCS business messaging platforms covers those, and the best RCS providers the carrier-side vendors.
The ten, at a glance:
- Attentive, for enterprise retail and e-commerce brands that want the deepest RCS programme in marketing software.
- Klaviyo, for e-commerce teams already running email and SMS in Klaviyo, with RCS generally available since February 2026.
- Braze, for enterprise customer-engagement teams that want RCS as a native channel beside push, email and in-app.
- Postscript, for Shopify brands, with RCS in private beta.
- SlickText, for small and mid-sized businesses that want a verified sender profile on their SMS today.
- EZ Texting, for small businesses on a budget, with RCS on an interest list rather than live.
- SimpleTexting, for straightforward SMS and MMS campaigns with no RCS.
- Textedly, for high-volume SMS on a flat monthly plan, with no RCS.
- Podium, for local businesses that want reviews, payments and texting in one inbox, with no RCS.
- SimplyRCS, for teams whose marketing platform has not shipped RCS and who want verified, branded RCS live in weeks with published rates.
What "supports RCS" actually means: five checks
Every vendor's website now says RCS somewhere. Most of that is a blog post. Before you weight a platform on RCS, ask these five questions, because a "yes" to the first one can hide a "no" to the other four.
- Does it send RCS to your customers today? Generally available, in beta, on a waitlist, or a blog post about the future. Only the first counts.
- Rich content, or a badge? Full RCS means rich cards, carousels of up to ten cards, suggested replies and tappable actions. "Basic RCS" means your name, logo and checkmark on what is otherwise an SMS. Both are real, and they are not the same product.
- Who files the verification? A brand's RCS agent has to be submitted to Google and approved by the carriers. Some platforms do that for you; some hand you a form.
- Fallback control. When a phone cannot receive RCS, does the platform send the SMS version automatically, and can you see which version each customer got?
- RCS reporting. Delivered, read and tapped, per message, or the same click-tracking you had on SMS.
The table below scores each platform on those five, with the pricing it publishes.
The ten SMS marketing platforms, compared on RCS
1. Attentive: best for enterprise brands that want the deepest RCS programme
Attentive launched RCS Business Messaging in the US in March 2025 and by mid-2025 said that most approved RCS agents in the US market belonged to its customers, with more than 250 agents live across industries. The RCS feature set is the full one: verified branding, carousels of product recommendations, suggested replies, and shopping inside the thread. Attentive manages the agent approval for its brands and reports RCS performance in the same dashboards as SMS. Pricing is by quote, and the platform is built for enterprise retail and e-commerce with the contract to match. Choose it if RCS is central to a large programme and you want the vendor with the most RCS agents behind it.
2. Klaviyo: best for e-commerce teams already on Klaviyo
Klaviyo made RCS generally available in February 2026 as part of a partnership with Google. Messages carry the verified brand identity, CTA buttons, quick replies and carousels, and Klaviyo falls back to SMS or MMS automatically where a device or carrier cannot take RCS. Reporting covers delivery, read and click interactions including button taps. Set-up runs through Klaviyo's registration flow, with the agent filed by its RCS partner Infobip: you authorise Google and Infobip to launch it on your behalf, and Klaviyo's help centre says carrier review typically takes four weeks or more. Pricing is through Klaviyo's plan estimator rather than a public per-message rate; the free tier includes $5 of mobile messages a month. If your email, SMS and customer data already live in Klaviyo, this is the shortest path to RCS.
3. Braze: best for enterprise engagement teams that want RCS beside push and email
Braze added native RCS support in May 2025, with RCS handled as a channel alongside SMS and MMS, including subscription groups and message set-up documented in its own guides. It is a customer-engagement platform for large consumer brands rather than an SMS marketing tool in the SimpleTexting sense, priced by contract. Choose it if you already orchestrate journeys in Braze and want RCS inside them.
4. Postscript: best for Shopify brands, once RCS leaves beta
Postscript is SMS marketing built exclusively for Shopify. Its RCS is a private beta with a group of e-commerce brands: a verified sender profile with the shop's name and logo, product cards, several products in one message, and up to 1,000 characters without segmentation, plus an AI shopping assistant that sends RCS suggested replies. Postscript's help centre documents the rest of the checklist: every RCS message carries an automatically generated SMS or MMS fallback, carousels run to ten cards, and RCS results sit in a separate RCS Performance Insights dashboard; its RCS page warns that carrier approval can take six weeks or more. Pricing is published: Starter at $0 a month with a $49 minimum spend and $0.009 per SMS, Growth at $100 a month and $0.008 per SMS, Professional at $500 a month and $0.007 per SMS, all plus carrier fees that Postscript lists as averaging $0.00418 per SMS. Choose it if you are on Shopify and can wait for, or get into, the beta.
5. SlickText: best for small businesses that want a verified sender today
SlickText announced RCS support in June 2026, and is clear about what it is: basic RCS, meaning a verified sender profile with your business name and logo on eligible messages, applied for through SlickText. There are no rich cards or carousels in the announcement. It is priced as an add-on, a $500 one-time set-up fee and a $200 annual maintenance fee, on top of plans that start at $29 a month for 500 credits and run to $939 a month for 50,000. Choose it if the checkmark and the logo are what you are after and your campaigns are otherwise SMS.
6. EZ Texting: best for small budgets, with RCS still to come
EZ Texting has the most detailed RCS pages of the small-business platforms, promising carousels of up to ten cards, 2,000 characters, tappable replies, read receipts and a verified badge. As of September 2026 the product is behind an interest form, and the page itself says most businesses will not see access until 2026 at the earliest. Plans are published: Launch at $20 a month billed annually ($25 monthly), Boost at $60 ($75), Scale at $100 ($125), each with 500 monthly credits, and Enterprise at $3,000 a month with 200,000 credits. Choose it for inexpensive SMS now and register interest for RCS.
7. SimpleTexting: best for simple SMS and MMS campaigns, no RCS
SimpleTexting is a well-regarded, easy SMS and MMS platform with a 30-day money-back guarantee. It publishes educational content about RCS but does not offer it as a product, and its pricing page does not mention it. SimpleTexting is owned by Sinch, whose Sinch Engage platform does send RCS, so a SimpleTexting customer who wants the channel has a sibling product to move to. Plans start at $39 a month billed annually for 500 credits, with extra credits at 5.5 cents, a local number at $10 a month plus a $4 carrier registration, and carrier fees separate. Choose it if you want SMS done simply and RCS is not on your roadmap.
8. Textedly: best for flat-rate volume SMS, no RCS
Textedly sells SMS and MMS on a long ladder of flat monthly plans, from Basic at $29 a month for 500 messages to Legend at $5,520 a month for 300,000, with a free toll-free number and messages up to 1,600 characters. It writes about RCS and says it will add RCS features as adoption grows, but does not offer it. Choose it if predictable monthly pricing at volume matters more than message format.
9. Podium: best for local businesses that want texting, reviews and payments together, no RCS
Podium is a local-business platform: a shared inbox, review management, web chat, payments and SMS campaigns, with unlimited one-to-one texts on every plan. Its documentation covers SMS and email; there is no RCS offering. Plans are quoted by sales rather than published. Choose it if the reviews-and-inbox bundle is the point and text marketing is one part of it.
10. SimplyRCS: best when your marketing platform has not shipped RCS
SimplyRCS by Signalmash is not a marketing suite. It has no email channel and no ecommerce-platform-native flows; it is the messaging layer, RCS-first with automatic SMS and MMS fallback, that runs beside the stack you already have, connected through its API, webhooks and integrations. What it does have is every one of the five checks: verified RCS to US customers today, rich cards, carousels and suggested actions in a no-code campaign builder, the agent and 10DLC verification filed for you with a first verified send targeted in 2 to 4 weeks, fallback per message with the version each customer received reported, and delivered, read and tap events per message. Pricing is published: $0.0039 per RCS text or interactive card, $0.0150 with media, $250 a month per verified RCS agent, carrier fees passed through at cost, and the software free. Honest limits: US only, and if your platform above has shipped RCS with your customer data inside it, using it there is simpler than adding a second tool.

Why the RCS column is the one that matters now
Three things changed the calculation between 2024 and 2026. Apple added RCS to the iPhone with iOS 18, so a US list is no longer split by operating system. The marketing platforms that own most e-commerce SMS lists, Attentive and Klaviyo, went to general availability, which means RCS is no longer a special project for a brand's engineers. And the message itself stopped being a text with a link: a verified name and logo, a product carousel and a tap-to-buy button in the native inbox is a different creative unit, and it is measured differently, on reads and taps rather than on link clicks. What RCS marketing is walks through the formats, and RCS vs SMS the channel comparison.
The practical consequence for a shortlist: an SMS platform without RCS is buying a format that its customers' phones already treat as the legacy one. That is fine for a programme that is mostly transactional or mostly low-volume, and a poor bet for a brand that expects to be sending campaigns in two years.
How to choose
- Enterprise retail or e-commerce, RCS is the programme: Attentive.
- Your list, email and data already live in Klaviyo: Klaviyo.
- You orchestrate journeys across push, email and in-app at enterprise scale: Braze.
- Shopify brand willing to work with a beta: Postscript.
- Small business, want the verified badge on SMS now: SlickText.
- Small budget, SMS now, RCS later: EZ Texting or SimpleTexting.
- Flat monthly pricing at volume, format is secondary: Textedly.
- Local business that wants reviews, payments and a shared inbox: Podium.
- Your platform has not shipped RCS and you do not want to wait: SimplyRCS alongside it.
Whichever you choose, get four things in writing: whether RCS is generally available to accounts like yours, who files the agent verification, whether fallback is automatic and reported, and what an RCS message costs against an SMS. Then see what your own brand looks like on a phone before you commit: a free sender ID test does that in a minute.
Frequently asked questions
Which SMS marketing platforms support RCS?
As of September 2026, Attentive (generally available since March 2025), Klaviyo (generally available since February 2026) and Braze (native RCS since May 2025) send RCS to general customers. Postscript runs a private beta for Shopify brands. SlickText offers basic RCS, a verified sender profile without rich content. EZ Texting is taking an interest list. SimpleTexting, Textedly and Podium do not offer RCS. SimplyRCS is an RCS-first messaging platform rather than a marketing suite.
What is the difference between basic RCS and full RCS on a marketing platform?
Basic RCS means the message shows your verified business name, logo and checkmark but is otherwise a text. Full RCS adds rich cards, carousels of up to ten cards, suggested replies and tappable actions such as open a URL or add to calendar. Both need a verified agent; only the second changes the creative unit and the reporting.
Does RCS cost more than SMS on a marketing platform?
It depends on the platform. Some price RCS inside their existing credit or plan structure, some add a set-up and maintenance fee (SlickText charges $500 once and $200 a year), and enterprise platforms quote it. On SimplyRCS an RCS text or interactive card is $0.0039, the same as an SMS, and a message with media is $0.0150, with a flat $250 a month per verified agent.
Can I keep my SMS marketing platform and add RCS separately?
Yes. If your platform has not shipped RCS, an RCS-first messaging platform can run beside it, sending the branded, rich version to phones that can take it and SMS to the rest, connected through API and webhooks. The trade-off is a second tool and a second place to look for results, which is why using RCS inside your existing platform is simpler once it is available there.
Do iPhones receive RCS marketing messages?
Since iOS 18, iPhones on supporting US carriers receive RCS, including business messages from verified agents. Where a phone or carrier does not support it, the platform should fall back to SMS or MMS automatically; that fallback is one of the five checks worth confirming before you choose a platform.
Is RCS marketing subject to the same rules as SMS marketing?
Yes. The TCPA consent rules, opt-out handling and quiet hours apply regardless of channel, and RCS adds carrier verification of the sender on top. TCPA compliance for business texting covers the rules, and how RCS consent works the RCS-specific part.
