What Sinch offers that a US-only platform does not
Sinch's RCS is open to new customers, and since November 2024 its agents can be provisioned from the Customer Dashboard and through a Provisioning API. Three things it offers are not on SimplyRCS:
- Operator connections and messaging coverage across many countries. SimplyRCS is US-only.
- WhatsApp alongside SMS, MMS and RCS, and social channels such as Instagram and Facebook in the same Engage inbox.
- Tiered Engage plans and custom enterprise contracts.
If the programme depends on those, a US-only platform does not replace Sinch.
What to check in any Sinch alternative
Ask every vendor these five questions, and get the answers in writing before any number moves.
- What is the US-domestic rate for each message class? This is the figure Sinch's page leaves to a quote, so ask for the text rate and the media rate separately, and whether text bills per segment or per message.
- How are carrier fees billed? At cost on their own line, or marked up or folded into the rate.
- Who files verification? Brand registration, 10DLC campaigns, toll-free verification and the RCS sender submission. On some platforms that work is yours.
- What is the stated time to a first verified send? Ask for the vendor's own estimate in writing.
- Which countries and channels are covered? If your recipients are outside the United States, or you need WhatsApp, settle that before you compare price.

How to move from Sinch
Carrier approval of the new sender, not the number port, sets the pace, so verify on the new provider first and move the numbers last. Porting a number to a new messaging provider covers each number type.
- US numbers move. SimplyRCS ports the US long codes, toll-free numbers and short codes you run through Sinch, so customers keep the numbers they already text. Long codes and toll-free numbers carry no carrier migration fee. Short-code migrations carry carrier-set fees passed through at cost: $500 for T-Mobile, $250 for Verizon and $150 for Claro.
- Numbers outside the US stay. Numbers Sinch holds for you in other countries stay where they are, because SimplyRCS is US-only.
- Registrations are re-filed. 10DLC brand and campaign filings and the verified RCS agent are tied to the provider that filed them. SimplyRCS re-files the brand, the campaigns and the RCS sender for you.
- Run both in parallel. Sinch and SimplyRCS can run side by side during cutover, with no overlap charge from SimplyRCS, so US traffic moves when the new registrations clear.

Frequently asked questions
How much does Sinch charge for RCS?
Sinch's RCS pricing page shows Rich RCS at $0.0078 and Rich Media RCS at $0.0188 per message, with carrier fees on top, footnoted as pricing for international traffic. US-domestic senders are asked to contact Sinch, so a US rate is a quote. Those figures were checked on 7 October 2026.
Which Sinch alternatives publish their RCS pricing?
Of the vendors checked on 7 October 2026, Twilio and Plivo publish US rates for RCS text and rich media, and RCS Studio by Vibes publishes monthly plans and sender fees. SimplyRCS publishes $0.0039 per RCS text segment and $0.0150 per card or media message. The others in the table above do not publish US RCS rates.
Is Sinch more expensive than Twilio for RCS?
That cannot be answered from the published pages. Twilio lists US RCS at $0.0083 per Rich text segment and $0.022 per Rich Media message. Sinch's published $0.0078 and $0.0188 are labelled as international pricing, and its US-domestic rate is quoted.
Can I move from Sinch and keep my numbers?
Yes, for US numbers. Long codes, toll-free numbers and short codes port to the new provider, with short-code migrations carrying carrier fees of $500 for T-Mobile, $250 for Verizon and $150 for Claro passed through at cost. 10DLC campaigns and the RCS agent do not transfer and are re-filed. Numbers Sinch holds outside the US stay with Sinch.
Does Sinch support RCS in the United States?
Yes. Sinch's RCS is open to new customers, and RCS agents can be provisioned from its Customer Dashboard or through a Provisioning API. What its RCS pricing page does not publish is a US-domestic rate or a US onboarding timeline.
Do I pay for both platforms during the switch?
Sinch bills its own usage until you stop sending through it. SimplyRCS does not charge for the overlap, so you can run both in parallel until delivery is proven.
Does SimplyRCS work outside the United States?
No. SimplyRCS is US only, on direct connections to AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile. If your recipients are outside the United States, ask any vendor which countries it covers before you compare price.
